Getting Ready

Okay, I am not sure how to ask this questions so I will start off just by telling you what I do. When I take a shower, I do the following:

1) Light a little candle by the sink. (Creamsicle Fragrance)
2) Get in the shower and Shampoo my hair.
3) Put Conditioner in my hair and leave it for a few minutes
4) Wash my skin with a loofa sponge and body wash
5) Shave where I need to (and yes I have red bumps on my chest too)
6) Wash out the conditioner and put on a hair mask cream for curls
7) Use a Daily moisturizing cream on my face
8) Rinse everything off and get out of the shower and towel dry.
9) Moisturize my skin all over with a lotion
10) Put some no frizz gel in my wet hair
11) Brush and Floss
12) Shave beard area and pluck stray hairs off of face
13) and finally, I comb out my hair and apply makeup as needed

So that's what I do, but I was wondering what you guys do, and if you have little ritual for doing it? Do you do anything like light candles? Is there something else in your beauty routine that you do?

If going out drab,
1, Shower
2, Get dressed
3, Gel hair (whats left of it)
4, Go out

If going out fem,

I don't have enought time to type all that out, lets just say it takes about an hour and half compaired to quarter of an hour for drab.

I can do my make-up pretty quick now, a half hour or so. It's time I really enjoy for myself, I consider it my time to think and relax. Now if only I could get my dear wife Kat to be so quick...

Collect all my goodies
Pluck anything I need to on my brows
Shave & wash face
Moisturize
Trim sideburns if ness.
Remove nose hair
Brush teeth
Clean out eyes and visine for redness
Apply small amount of beard cover with fingers
Smoke a fagg:p
Apply foundation
Press & brush off excess
Blend
Start on eyes(depends on what I wanna do with them)
Brush off excess and brows
Look at self for ten minutes while smoking a fagg
Put on wig and brush it
Do lips
Look at self for ten minutes
Start cleaning brushes and sponges
Wash hands and moisturize
(note do not wear dress during application:eek: )
Make coffee and recheck self while smoking another fagg

Start looking for something to wear....

I wash my hair the day before because it takes 6 hours to dry. So in with the heated rollers... quick bath and shave... bung on the slap... spend 20 minutes trying to find a pair of tights that aren't laddered... slink into a frock... spritz hair and brush through... splash on the perfume... slip into a pair of heels... on with the coat or stole if its a posh do... spend 20 minutes being nagged at because I can't remember where I left the car keys :)

Ok the wig is hung up so from drab to dressed takes about 20 to 25 mins as for ritual yep hunting for that top I really want to wear and cannot find

Wow you girls have such a big list of what to do. I just use a lot of perfume.

Hehe! --That is the best post ever! I laughed cuz it's so true! (I am a smoker too--not that I'm proud of it). "Look at self for 10 mins. while smoking a fagg". --And just looking in the mirror of course. I do that all the time! I mean that's half the fun...right?

But I have a hard time on my eyes. Especially mascara and eyeliner. I need reading glasses and I need them too apply. I can't hardly see my lower lashes even with the glasses. :D And trying to apply mascara or eyeliner by slipping the brush behind my glasses is a pain. I have tried using a magnifying mirror but it is super awkward to me. Oh well! practise makes perfect I guess.
