How well can you spend?

Ok tired of duplicating things from other places so here's a new question for ya!

You win a check for a thousand bucks (that's roughly 567.81UK and 1,310.70AU)

What would you buy? Would you blow it all on clothes and shoes etc..?

Personally I'd get my car legal with half of that and blow the rest of clothes and a couple more pairs of shoes. Although I would shop around for the best prices. Definitly white cowgirl boots knee high and some stretchy capri pants in white with a matching sports top. Not sure I'd wear that with the boots though:p

Definitely buy the drop dead gorgeous dress i spotted in Edinburgh at the weekend, price £425, expensive yes but so chic and sophisticated, image costs!

I'd spend half on clothes, and save the other half for a rainy day. Did I mention it rains a LOT more these days? :D

I would put it towards a holiday fund so I can fly to Melbourne, Australia and see my friends Melissa and Lyn :)

Would have to put some away for those dammned bills, but whatever (if any !!) was left, would go on some new shoes and a couple of more 'modest' day clothes (girl wear, of course!). :p

Well, first I would have to spend at least 1/2 on wife and then the other
1/2 on me. Remember Texas is a "Community Property" state.

Lets think now, the house is a bit of a mess, cars are OK, pond is fully stocked so that means its out to my fave shop and buy some of their best things. It usually is a 6 monthly trip for one thing but hey I could buy 5 or 6

Well, as much as I'd LOVE to say I'd blow it all on clothes... I'd actually use it as the down payment for a house. Lace and I have found a house that we LOOOOVVVEEE but we have to come up with $1000 before we can buy it. It doesn't sound too bad... but it's a strain for us... so that's definately what the money would go towards. ;)
