I've always wanted to go into the beauty department of a large store and have the girl do my makeup. Sometimes I see a member of the public laying back in a comfortable chair and the girl matching foundations to skin colour etc, and then the complete works; eyes, lashes, blusher, lipstick etc. I'ts only a fantasy but I'd love to do it for real.:)

Would love to go also lol. I wonder if there are places that have seperate rooms though and not out in the open.I remember taking my ex-wife to Glamour Shots along time ago. If i remember correctly they have curtains so no one else can see. Bonus you get your piccy's taken also....Way expensive though.

Wife and I once did the glamor photo thing. Got a thrill when they put makeup on me to highlight my face for the photo's. Wore the makeup rest of the day until we got home. Wife then said "you can take it off now". LOL

Not yet, but I will when I get my own place.

The wierd thing is though Amy I'd love to be out in the open with people looking on, hoping of course that I looked really glam when it was completed. lol:D

Stephanie that is just soooo cool; you lucky thing, I'd love all that attention. How did you get the girls to do it for you? what I mean is; did you ask for help on colouring and did they know you were CD?

Haven't done it at the department store, but I did have a make-over done at one of the MAC stores in San Francisco. It's a stand-alone store and I played hooky so I could go on a weekday when there weren't too many other customers. Had a wonderful time and was treated like a lady by both the staff and other customers.
Basically, just went in en femme and told one of the make-up artists I was looking for a better foundation. Up close, it's pretty obvious I'm a guy in a dress, but she didn't miss a beat. Originally, she was just going to do that, but then I told her I was also interested in improving my overall look, so we did a full make-over instead.
Took the opportunity to do a little education while I was there. The make-up artist had worked for MAC for five years, so she'd done some cross-dressers before, but said they were all gay. (Not sure if they really were -- then again it's SF -- or that was just her assumption.) She was quite surprised to find out CDs are typically straight and I talked a little about some of the reasons why we do it. I used my "What Not to Wear" analogy, which made sense to her. Ironically, on her days off she's so sick of make-up, she hardly wears any.
Another irony was that she once did a make-over on her boyfriend, who freaked out an made her swear never to tell anyone. Hmm. Methinks, he enjoyed it (and enjoyed what he saw in the mirror) and couldn't handle it....
One of the other make-up artists went outside with me took my picture afterwards, so I could recreate the look, and wanted to know when I'd be back.

Unfortunately, I blew out my knee a few weeks later and have been mostly house-bound on crutches since then. So it will probably be a few months before I go back.
