Apologies for the downtime, this was beyond our control. Rachael has worked her heels off getting things up again and she should be thanked for her dedication.

There is still work that needs doing here to get things as they were, at present the e-mail system is not working so until told otherwise Please do not use the e-mail system.

I have a few moments now, so the story so far is this.

Our server has been physically relocated to a new data center, its Internet address has been permanently changed.

I had no prior warning of this and therefore could not plan for the outage.

I now have control of the server again in its new location, but I still need to change the records on the Internet that point to the various services that run on the server.

Normal service will resume once I have been able to accomplish this.

We, the staff, apologise for the inconvenience, but the matter was beyond our control.

I'm sorry about this. I found an email from Monday(I've been offline for a week) saying they were going to move the server and would tell me when. well obviously they didn't!

Now we have a new IP and a new facility, but the DNS transfer must be instated to make the domain point to the new IP.

I just got that info to pass on to Rach so she can make the needed changes.

The DNS records are now updated, within a few hours things will begin to return to normal.

Please note that in extreme circumstances it could take up to 72 hours for this to happen, depending upon where you are in the world.
