I just go at it! I found a formula that seems to work and run around that! I am happy enough!

I'm pretty good after all these years, and yet, just the other day, Fallen Angel gave me a great tip for my skin complextion. Guess you can teach an old dog:D

Getting there, I've learned less is sometimes better. Take your time and do it as best you can the first time.:)

I'm learning! Gradually getting there.

Mind you I now have a new wig, similar to my real hair colour, so the makeup may need to change again!

Still learning to apply makeup. My wife helps, but with the wrinkles in my face - I need a trowel!:o

I'm quite good at makeup, my sister worked doing makeup for photo shoot's for a while so I've had a few good tips from her.

Been through some shockers in my time.....Green all the way up to under the eyebrow.....painted on lower lashes half way down the cheek...(was a fashion thing)....goth black all over with a white face makeup, now I just wear shadow and mascara. Used to do Mels but she does a better job on her own, in fact I copy some of her eye shadow colours.....

Blending is my biggest problem!

I have trouble with eyeshadows in particular, but generally getting an overall smooth and blended look is problamatic most times.

I'm working on the less is best option for foundation - I usually plaster it on too thick which is not a good look!

I guess the biggest issue is that until recent years, I just did 'quickie jobs' and never really went for perfection as I was not an 'outdoors' girl back then. Passing needs better makeup efforts nowadays.

Hi Girls
I've got the lipstick, mascara and eyeliner down pretty good. Still looking for that right look for my eye shadow and cheeks. I like Tristens approach, less is better. LOL Wilma

I think I do a pretty good job overall...but...like the rest of you...I'm still learning new things...and ways to apply them...all the time.

I'm OK with the make-up. Sometimes I get in a rut and just do the same style over and over, I sometimes fear doing different styles.

And like Clare has said, going out is a big incentive for doing a good job with the make-up. If you go out, you'll learn pretty fast on how to make the best look for yourself.

Everytime my make-up gets a little better. I am still playing with colors to see what works and what doesn't. Technique just comes with practice.

Gosh, it's so AWFUL! I rarely get to dress, so I don't get much practice. I wish I could get my wife's comfort level high enough to help! (She's never even seen me dressed). My biggest problem is eyeliner. I'm squeamish about my eyes, and I can't stop my eyelids from blinking and shaking! I wish I were good at eyeliner, though, because I think I could make my eyes look pretty good -- I like my eye color of blue.

I don't have very good supplies, either. My beard is thick and dark, so it's hard to hide, even right after I shave. I do ok w/ eye shadow, mascara, and blush. I'd love to see what an expert could do with my face!

God bless,
Stephanie

It's not really make-up around my eyes, I have two black eyes form my BF hitting me, it just looks like make-up on the pics.
